Lovin the Bali life

March 9

We have had the most wonderful night’s sleep nestled into the wonderfully soft cotton sheets and lightweight duvet covers.  We have shed our coffee ambitions and are now into the local custom of tea for breakfast.  We allow the kids to sleep as late as they want….well kind of……we wake up Hudson around 11:00 to make sure he has survived the night, and sure enough he has!  We get a continental breakfast with fruit and toast and head down to the pool to soak up some sunlight.  The kids have found the game room and waterslide area of the hotel and couldn’t be happier.  They have also met some kids their same ages and that is a relief for them to have playmates.  We hang out for a few hours and then Annie, Paulie and I opt to go into town for lunch.  The kids have supervisors at the hotel so that makes it easy for us to head out for a couple of hours.  It starts to rain just as we are seated at a wonderful outdoor patio restaurant and we have a delicious meal of mixed satay served on a little table grill along with a salad of prawns and avocado.  After lunch, we want to check out some of the shops that line the main street of Sanur, the small town where we are staying.  We find some really amazing bargains, but try to remain selective since we do have limited space.  We shop for about an hour before Annie and I are presented with a flyer for massages and manicures for next to nothing.  We tell Paulie we will be occupied for the next hour or so and we feel like queens as we enjoy our reflexology massages and mani/pedi that sets us back about $12 for all three treatments.  Paulie opts to return to the hotel and we opt to shop after our spa treatment and we find some amazing items.  We return to the hotel and rest up a while before opting to eat dinner at the hotel restaurant.  After dinner, we return home and read and have internet for a while before turning in for the night.
